Services Available at Northwest

Pre-Post Operative Therapy

Physical Therapy is very important in restoring function before and after surgery. Physical Therapy prior to surgery can help prepare the affected area for surgery, which will ultimately speed up the recovery process.

Physical Therapy after surgery will restore mobility, strength, and function to a level where you can live your life without limitations. At Northwest Physical Therapy we use the latest treatment protocols to help you reach your goals.

Joint Replacement Therapy

Joint Replacement Surgery is a very common condition we see on a daily basis. The surgical and rehab techniques for shoulder, hip, and knee joint replacements have greatly advanced over the past 15-20 years. At Northwest Physical Therapy we combine past years experience with current therapy techniques to help you live a full functioning and pain free life again.

Balance/Gait Training

One of our most common services is helping a patient safely walk again. As we age our balance tends to decline, and fall risks increase. If you or a loved one is having a difficult time walking, standing up from sitting in a chair, going up and down stairs or curb steps, or difficulty climbing bleachers it is time to get enrolled in our balance and fall prevention program.

Vestibular Rehabilitation & Vertigo/Dizziness

Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise based program used to improve balance and reduce problems related to vertigo/dizziness. It is not uncommon for these problems to go undiagnosed for months or even years. At Northwest Physical Therapy we use specific vestibular rehabilitation treatment techniques and develop strategies to resolve or minimize these symptoms.

Sports Rehabilitation

Physical Therapy plays a vital role in the prevention and treatment of sports injuries to athletes of all ages and abilities. The overall objective for any athlete is to compete injury and pain free. Sometimes the recovery for a sports injury is a short timeframe, while other times it takes several months to fully recover. We work closely with the individual athlete to guide them through the entire process to prepare them for successful return to sport.

Stroke/ Neurological Rehab

When a person has a stroke or other neurologic condition, the severity of it can be minor to absolutely life-changing. The range of rehabilitation is directly related to the severity of the diagnosis or condition. We understand the specifics to these problems and will work hard to get you or your loved one back on their feet.

Return to Work

The goal of every return-to-work program should be to help an injured employee do one very important thing: return to pre-injury employment. We will get you back to work when it is medically appropriate.

Neck/ Back Pain

Neck or back pain is a very common problem that > 50% of Americans will experience at some point in their life. Physical Therapy is a proven and cost effective treatment option. At Northwest Physical Therapy we use a hands on approach combined with a specific exercise routine to correct posture and body mechanics, relieve pain, and restore functional mobility.

Hand Therapy

A hand, wrist, or finger injury can have a great impact on all aspects of your life. Whether it is a broken wrist, carpal tunnel syndrome, or recovering from a tendon laceration surgery we are here to facilitate healing, restore mobility, and regain functional use of your hand.

Pediatric Therapy

We are happy to provide any of our services to your child, regardless of their injury or condition. Of course, there are different tactics used in physical therapy when helping children, but we are highly experienced in this area and have a kid-friendly environment.

Home Physical Therapy

From time to time, our patients are not able to leave their homes for physical therapy. This is something that we are happy to accommodate.
